I know there is already a topic on this except its on the lower back.
I have scoliosis and my shoulderblade/upper back is killing me (well, its just really hurts)I tried lying on my back and doing exercises but it still hurts, and when I do the exercises, my back hurts even more. Is there anyway to relieve my back?

(I don't want to use a heating pad in the summer either _unsure.gif)

I know how you feel, I have scoliosis as well and used to get upper back pain sad.gif (bummer). Having pain in your upper back area is due to tight muscles, so my doctor told me to go to a massuer for a regular massage, just to tone down the muscle tightning. It worked perfectly rolleyes.gif of course I still get the occasional upper back pain, but that area was so tense, getting a massage definitley eased the tension and relaxed my muscles more.
Aside from getting the massage, I also have to make sure that I have good posture at all times (dang scoliosis pinch.gif ) so no slouching in class!
Don't wear a messenger bag to school (or a bag with only one strap) especially if you're shoulderblades hurt...which is also another mistake I made :(
I also found that placing hot towels on the area that hurt helped me rolleyes.gif
Hope all goes well!
