Last Myspace Designer Standing, ROUND ONE Options

Round One begins!

The first theme is.... SUMMER! You're challenge is to design a myspace layout with a summer theme! From beaches, to wildlife retreats... from academic freedom, to hot weather, it's your choice! It can be anything as long as it is tied directly to the theme, and creativity is expected and encouraged. For this round, you can choose between designing a DIV Overlay or a Stand Table layout. Keep in mind that as the contest progresses, the judges might decide to eliminate this choice in future rounds. So, choose wisely.

PM your submission to ALL of the judges, not just one - that way in case one judge is missing, we still have all of the entries at the deadline.

RULES:
1) No use copyright images
2) It cannot be a layout made in the past or submitted anywhere else
3) Must be appropriate content and fit the theme
4) No generators
5) After each round, remaining layouts must be submitted to cB
6) Submissions cannot be just an image, they have to be coded as well

Here are some quick notes for all the participants, just clarifying the rules a bit.

• Copyright Images: Its occured with layouts submitted and its very important that if you guys want to use an image in your layout esepcially if its from deviantART or an artists website you need to ask permission from them first before you submit it. Most of these layouts will be submitted to the cB database and seriously its bad for us to have to deal with the artists. Don't think that they won't find you because since cb4 there has been 1 or 2 already that I was PMed about. So watch the images you use. if you get an image from photobucket, be careful, try to bookmark the link so if something does come up you won't be the one looking bad.
• If you submit screenshots with your layouts it will be nice. If you don't know how we have a tutorial or someone can make it for you.
• Try to think about yourself enjoying it more than trying to win. It may help you out in the long run. Also don't worry about how hitech people can get. It doesn't mean they'll win. There is a lot more to a good layout than some random flash and non blinky images.
