Never trusts someone who knows everything, for they are always wrong.
I do not know the face of god. I cannot argue the finer points of the bible, like why homosexuality is considered a greater sin than eating shellfish, even though they are both condemned in the same book. Religion, or more specifically, certain sects of christianity, have often crusaded against science that conflicted with their beliefs. They have denied that the earth was round, they have denied that the earth orbited the sun, and they have denied evolution. The "science" you learn from these sects is no science; it is no real explanation. It would, therefore, be possible to receive and entire "education" that consists of almost truths. You could, for instance, attend a staunch christian college that denies evolution. What you would receive there would not be considered "science". Science is not in the business of disproving the existence of god. At the most scientific of universities, you will find courses in religion, you will find scientists who believe in god. I do not deny the existence of god because I am a scientist. Rather, I am a scientist who happens to believe in god. I do not believe in god because of the bible, or because of evangelism. I believe in god because of my understanding of science and my personal experiences. You may choose to deny science because of your belief in god. But I won't deny god because of science. As far as your status as an idiot goes, based on the facts available, it appears you have proven that quite well. |
