I was thinking.. has anyone ever had a "cheap moment" and gone to a new all time low?
Example: About a week ago my friend went online and went out of her way to find free samples of shampoo and ordered them. Me... well, a couple days ago I went online and bought things (from the sale section even) from sephora.com just so I could put in the code to get a free Dior lipgloss and the three free samples you can choose from everytime you order online from sephora.com. Anyone else have these moments? Has society raised prices so much that the word "free" triggers something in people? |

A friend and I were at the mall a long time ago and a lot of stores in the food court were giving out free samples. We made one round and got all the free stuff we could, then switched jackets and bags and went around again. The distributors didn't notice we were the same people, or maybe they just didn't care.
I've gotten free cups of coffee from Starbucks twice, though, the tall size. :D |
