quite the night.., wouldn't you say? Options

i didn't know where i should put this. but i thought this would be the best place for it. please correct me if i'm wrong.


last night, there was a carnival around where i live. i decided to go with my friend stephen because it was something to do and a lot of my friends were going. when we got there, i saw my friend cate. cate is the kinda girl who will drink and smoke just to "fit in". she is easily influenced with peer pressure and will do almost anything to just be well liked.

she came up to me and gave me a huge hug because i haven't seen her in quite some time. she was acting all goofy, so i kind of had a feeling she was either smoking or drinking. so the night goes on and i see her again, and she has a fruit punch bottle. i didn't think anything of it, and i was thirsty, so i asked her for a sip. i took one and it tasted like alcohol, so i asked her what she put in it and she just started laughing. by that time, she was already drunk. so my friend stephen tries it, to see how strong it was and to see exactly how bad she would get. it was really strong and she was just getting progressively worse.

me and stephen decide to get her out of the carnival since we were around so many people and there were cops everywhere. there was a park right next to the carnival so we decided to take her there. she is such a sloppy drunk and kept screaming the whole time. stephen was trying to help cate and i was sitting under the pavillion trying to call my sister to get help. the neighbors of the park must of heard her screaming and called the cops, because the next thing i know, stephen was like, "jess... jess.. JESSSS GET OUT OF HERE THERE'S COPS" so i take off as fast as i possibly could. thankgod they didn't find me, but i dropped my cellphone, and lost my flipflops in the creek i crossed. i started freaking out, because i needed my phone, but it was too dark, and i couldn't find it. so i felt like i needed to get out of there, because i was scared they would come looking for me.

my bestfriend lives right near the park and the place the carnival was held at. i ran as fast as i could to get to her house, and on my way, i passed a car. so i stopped running, and started to walk, and the car slowed down while it passed. i kept a good pace walking and the next thing i know, i turn around and the car has their reverse lights on. i got even more scared then i already was so i run off the sidewalk and go into the creek/woods area again. the person driving doesn't get out, or flash any flashlights. they stayed there for about a minute and drove off, to turn into the park entrance. i figured it was a cop, and got extremely lucky they didn't come looking for me. i got to my bestfriends house and called my parents.

to make an extremely long story short (since i know most of you are probably really sick of reading this, if you even did lol), i ended up finding my phone and my friends never said there was another person there. therefore, i didn't receive any punishments. i feel really bad though, because my friends got caught and i got away with it..

honestly though, i was just trying to help out a friend, but i had alcohol on my breath because i sipped her drink, thinking it was fruitpunch. if i stayed, i don't know what kind of punishments i would have received, but probably only a fine like stephen did. instead, i got really really bad cuts and bruises on my feet and legs which cause them to currently be swollen. but wouldn't you rather have that then have to pay a fine and maybe get arrested for underage drinking?

have any of you been in a situation like this? how did you handle it? and thank you to anyone who actually took the time to read that. sorry it's extremely long.

well, I've never been in a situation like that. But I definitely would have done what you did. sorry about the phona and all. I hope your friend turns out ok.
