Have you ever had an ongoing joke with someone where you knew that it was a joke and the other person took it seriously?

Every time it happens, I feel SO BAD for miscommunication. Okay, okay, so it would've ruined the joke a little if we blatantly said the joke wasn't true, but I mean, the longer the joke went the worse I'd feel. Gahhhhh!

oh yeah. there are definitely many times that this have happened to me.. sometimes, i also make a joke or comment that comes out wrong.. like at work, i was talkin to my co-worker about filipino eating habits... i always have to have rice..then i said something like, "let's say you have KFC...i have to have rice with that." and he goes.."oh just coz im black, youre gna say that i like KFC?" i didnt even know there was such stereotype!
