I love flats. They`re cute and stylish. You can wear them with anything, basically.
The thing is that it rubs against my heel and gets pretty uncomfortable. Therefore, it leaves me in pain. Any tips to prevent this. Or what to look out for in flats? I`ve tried those socks especially made for flats, they offer little protection and sticks out like a sore thumb. Is there any way to prevent the blisters and torment without losing flavour? |

I have an amazing pair of patent leather burgundy flats with an adorable bow on the toes. They cost a lot of money. They hurt like hell. It pretty much sucks ass, so I totally know how you feel.
Bandaids (waterproof ones, especially. They stick better) work wonders. I've heard of this thing called "Band-aid Active Flex Blister Block", though. It's basically like a stick of deodorant that you apply to areas that you're likely to get pain while wearing shoes, i.e. back of the heel, sides of the foot, etc. From what I've heard, it actually works (Deodorant-like? Sounds weird, I know). http://www.drugstore.com/qxp163404_333181_...block_stick.htm Also, check out the Dr. Scholl's website. I found two similar products that would seriously help with my heel problem, if they actually worked: http://www.drscholls.com/forher/product.as...id=93&nid=1 http://www.drscholls.com/product.aspx?prodid=32 Gel inserts that you supposedly stick to the inside of the shoe. If they work, it would be a godsend. Ah, the pain of fashion... |
