You don't seem to realize that not only are you not helping those starving little kids by sending aid, but you're doing them harm.

This isn't even news. Africa has been like this forever.

To make things simple for those who don't get why money doesn't help them:

We send money -> Money goes to African governments -> Money goes into the pockets of corrupt rulers and none goes to national development.

^I agree.Shikwatis (or what ever his name is) outlook on the help I think has a good point but its also very retarted.Basically its like saying "oh let them do it on there own".No if someone needs help i dont think they will not ask for help because they want to maintain pride.

Oh, come on. Pride? I hardly think pride is a reason for not accepting a solution to mass famine and war. Perhaps its because the 'solution' isn't helping, but supporting their enemies?

If you want to help, pull an Oprah and actually go into Africa.
