Begging for advise, BF issues Options

So to put his simply, my boyfriend has been nonstop lecturing me about my choose in pass time. what use to be cutting is now bruising and burning rather than cutting. My boyfriend is telling me that its going to only get worse and that i need to stop, but it isn't that simple. I'm addicted to the pain and he knows it and he says he knows it. He says he knows its hard for me but then yells at me whenever he sees a mark on me (even when its not from myself). I've been trying to stop but him yelling at me doesn't really help and I've told him that before and he reacts by telling me it's the only way to get through to me. him yelling isn't helping and it's making me just angry at him and wanting to break up with him when ever he does. But when he's not lecturing me and he's being normal, it's fine. I love him when he's being normal but those moments are starting to out weigh the times hes normal.
I know he's just trying to help, but if he can't understand when he's making it worse, how am I suppose to be able to spend any more time with him.

Hes probably just worried about you, and wants you to be happy. I know that cutting isnt the easiest habbit to break but you need to do it for yourself. You dont want all thease scars all over do you? Sit him down for a talk and tell him how you feel and for him to stop yelling at you. Maybe then he will understand and stop yelling and lecturing you. If he comtinues with yelling and lecturing you about it and doesent try to understand I think you should dump him and find someone else whos willing to accept your flaws and try to help you without going balistic about it.
