So me and my girlfriend have been together for about 5 months, but have been liking each other for over a year and a half now. I've already gotten her a necklace and a bracelet for valentine's day and our 3 month anniversary, so I was thinking maybe i should get her a ring. I asked a couple of my friends about this, and a few of them thought that giving her a ring would be a little too serious of a present. She and I have talked about marriage, (not getting married, but what it would be like if we did, etc), just in normal conversations. Do you guys think that giving a ring as a birthday present might seem too serious?
Any opinions/advice would be appreciated. Girls, please chime in? btw. I already bought the ring...but i don't want her to think that im getting to serious about our relationship.. |

Aww that'd be cute
![]() If it helps, my BF and I are in a distanced relationship and he asked me what ring size I was (which is a bit of uhh.. obvious way to give it away) but we cant really help our situation. So the way you did it was way cute (& smart... jesus, I'd never have been able to think of that on my own). If you dont want her to think of it too seriously or something, tell her its a "promise ring" or something cheesy along them lines. At least then she wont get freaked, assuming shes the type that would get freaked. |
