i don't know about everyone else but men seem less "manly" than say ten years ago. we have the metrosexuals, emos, and a growing awareness of the gay community. American society seems to hate testosterone, everywhere i go men are labled as the aggressor or the original source of the problem. of course there are lots of exeptions, but i know that if there was a murder and it was between me and some girl, i'd probably get fuked.
so my point i guess is that to combat this discrimation men have become less manly in general, do you agree? perhaps a better description would be "men are more passive agressive." |

Well... just because men don't have to go out and hunt for animals to bring back food on the table anymore, or fight mammoths or wolves or what not, doesn't mean they've lost their masculinity. Growing awareness of the gay community is not, in my opinion, caused because of discrimination against men- there's been growing awareness of the lesbian community as well. It's just modernization to me.. I don't think guys purposely make themselves less manly to escape discrimination. If anything, women probably get more discriminated against anyways. |
