I have long hair, it reaches dwon to my waist, and I want to scrunch it or something to make it wavy, but not have to use a curling iron or anything.... but I have straight, straight hair... and any time I try to do something it just goes back to the way it was... any suggestions to how to keep it looking like this... but a bit more straight...

I haven't really attempted that look very often, but I used Nexum gel, I think is what it's called. It's a thickener, so it adds body to your hair along with the crunch. I'll leave my hair wet and crunch it and let it dry and it holds (besides being out in the wind and such). But the suggestion above me is a good one. You'll have to let us know how it works out.
