That explains some of the layouts then. I feel like I'm complaining but sometimes I see some stuff on here and I'm like ?what? and I know that I have made better, but wasn't accepted. These do all definitely need work, LOL but I was just cruising thru them and I was amazed that I made so many in one night LOL.

I see that a lot of the stuff on here really does look the same: same blending, colorizations and some stiff posed person and yet because it has a different "slogan" it is accepted. I love a lot of the graphics on here and there are so many talented people but I see sometimes stuff gets accepted because it's *in* not because it's actually different/unique. I'm trying to find my own style and not bend to the restrictions on design and it's tough because most of the criticism I receive is how to make it "better" by making it like someone else's!! I have yet to figure out if I even have a style but I don't want to copy. The best people on here have their own style (I love Moorepocket, AnimeEssence, and Lanocha's work) and their work is almost always recognizable because it doesn't look like everyone else's.

And what's funny is that I have yet to see a single CB layout on any random myspace account, even most members on this site don't use them. I've referred so many people here, and had links on my profile ironically. 99% of the people I've seen on myspace still use the defaults. I think of the layouts on here as more of a portfolio or even showcase rather than an actual source for layouts.
