The only reason you'd break out if you were to being using St. Ives is because you already have dirt in your pores. The purpose for St. Ives is to clean out the acne, grime, dirt, etc and prevent acne. The salycic acid in St. Ives cleans the dirt out by getting it out, and causing a pimple. But the pimple would go away faster since the cleanser contains salycic acid and other ingredients. And then after it goes away, St. Ives prevents it by cleaning out your pores when you clean.
Personally, I really love St. Ives; it gives you a clean feeling and my acne has somewhat improved after using it for a couple months. |
