I downloaded itunes when I first got my laptop, but for some reason it wasn't working properly. Anyone else have this problem?

So I deleted it, but I'm going to download it again.

Oh and a noobish question: How do I export my library from my ipod to my laptop? If I synch it, it'll erase everything on my ipod since the library on the laptop is empty.

As it is you're not supposed to be able to copy the songs from your iPod to computer, except for a few circumstances. I found a very easy way to get around that though.

All you do is go to My Computer when your iPod is plugged in, open up the iPod folder and find the folders that hold the music files. In order to see them you'll have to click folder options and click show hidden files. Then you just copy and paste those folders onto your hard drive. Then you go into iTunes and click the Add Folder option, and you find where you put all your music. This will auto sort the weird named files automatically so instead of having some song named XJET it will change it back to say Beatles - Lonely People - yada yada. You have to tell iTunes to auto sort your music though.

^In short you use your iTunes library to translate the name of all the coded songs for you.
