Hair Colour Opinions, Please? =) Options

Okay sooo, here's another one of those in-need-of-more-opinions-on-my-hair topics...

Here's some pics of my latest hair:


Basically, medium brown base with lighter brown/blonde slices/highlights.

So today I saw a friend of mine with hair that I absolutely adored but unfortunately did not take a picture of. It was basically brown with blonde highlights (mostly blonde) and with 2 panels of purple in the midlayers so you could see it peek out when her hair was down, but if she pulled her hair half up you could see them.
Terrible description, I know.
Here's a picture that semi-shows what I mean.

No, that is not her or the colours, but basically see where she has the blonde and blue panel? Like that but farther apart pretty much...like more to the sides of the hair. ANYHOW.

I'm getting my hair redone soon and I'm going to go with what I basically had before but with more blonde highlights and I wanna get those 2 panels underneath thrown in but not purple or anything...I was thinking either red or black. Do you think it'd work?

Sorry for the ridiculously long post but yeah. Opinions please? Or any other ideas I could do? Cause I wanna change it up, but not too, too much.

I've had blood red, bright red, and hot pink.
Where I live, every bitch has the color of the rainbow in her hair now though.

Red would stand out, although black is different. Everybody bleaches and blondes their hair. My girl Set-set has her hair cut in 3 layers and the shortest layer is like bangs, but all around her head and its platinum blonde. Her next layer is shoulder length and its a medium brown. Her last layer, right at the nape of her neck to about her elbows is jeeeet black.

I don't know what her story had to do with yours, but I felt like sharing.
Although purples look nice on most asians I know.
