he wants to break up with me, I just can't let go.. Options

I don't know where to put this.. I don't know what to think

my "bf" wants to break up with me. he told me he sort of wanted to b/c our relationship is seriously sad. but he's unsure.. I'm always telling him that I can't let go. I really love him. he's my first bf and we've been going out for a year already. I really, really can't let go. I just wish I was dead. what should I do? I just feel so torn and screwed up. I've been thinking a lot about cutting myself. argh.. help..

i know exactly what you mean.. i was totally in love with this one guy n he dumped me for no real reason at all.... i ended up in therapy =/ but that was a couple years ago n i've learned a lot since then -
#1: no guy is worth ur tears
#2: no guy is worth your life
if this guy wants to end a years relationship.. you cant hold him back, cuz then he wont be happy. as hard as it might be to let go, you have to do it. maybe this guy will come back into your life later on? ..and even if he doesnt, all it means is that he wasnt meant to. even when you cant see it, theres always a reason..
dont waste your time crying and questioning your life over one guy.. theres millions out there-true, most of em suck.. but theres one out there for YOU.. he's YOUR soulmate.. and he's the one your gonna spend your life with. so get up, quit worrying about this one guy.. and go find your perfect match. =] good luck
