Well, it depends on WHAT type of criminal they are... PREVENTION: If they're a robber, set up an alarm in your house, or get a guard dog. If they're a shoplifter, set up those alarms that sensor whether you've paid for something or not at the entrance/exits of stores. Other ideas; - DNA testing/analyis for murderers, to test if they were at the scene of the crime. - Tracing phone calls to track them down. - Publicize. For example, Oprah Winfrey had a segment showing the faces of rapists/pedophiles and had ordinary U.S citizens call her hotline if they discovered any of them living near them... they ended up catching quite a few pedophiles living in peoples' neighborhoods. - Simply put... call the police. |
