Well if this is true then the movie sucks seeing as it didnt happen that way in the comics.

Isn't that the case in most comic book to film productions though? I mean, we're talking about a Hollywood that casts Keanu Reeves as John Constantine for goodness sake.  I know it's silly, but I still find it incredibly goofy that they cast Reeves as a character who is supposed to blond and British (and who would NEVER give up smoking). There's that whole Hellboy thing too. Sure, the kissing scene between Liz Sherman and Hellboy was on fire (*snort*), but they didn't have that type of relationship in the books. I'm all for Gwen and Spidey anyway.  Better yet, up that ante to Black Cat and we'll be set.
