Has anyone seen or read chobits. What are your opinions on it.
Chobits, is a unique series. It's a great mixture of comedy, romance and some moral stuff in it as well. Not sure if I would like a persocom though, maybe as a slave? ![]() |

Eh... there were some sad parts from Chobits- when Hideaki fell and the ending - but that's about it.
In the past, when I first watched Chobits, I thought it was really good. Then after watching it again, I realized that it's definitely something that I would just watch once and be done with it. I guess the stock characters are kind of stiff. Yes, I KNOW Chi is supposed to be, since she is a chobit, but Hideaki was kind of stiff as well. They tried to make it funny, but it kind of went stale to some extent. Perhaps the manga is better? I mean, after watching some Card Captor Sakura again, Chobits doesn't really compare. Sometimes it seemed a little too rushed, too, since some characters kind of pop in pretty quickly. On the side note, my favorite characters were probably the chef guy who worked at the bakery Chi worked at, and the girl he liked. She was cute and that story was much stronger and emotional. It was much more a sense of reality, with the touch of A.I. androids living in society. |
