i miss him..., help? Options

i've known this guy for .. almost a year now.. and .. since ive met him .. i had this "thing" .. but we did "date" for a lil while.. but that sure didnt last long.. i havent really stopped liking him.. it just kinda went on and off.. he goes out with my friends.. but i try not to make a big deal out of it.... i havent talked to him kinda in a while.. until today i saw him .. then it felt like all the feelings were coming back to me.. and then i started to miss the way things were.. but i didnt wanna make things obvious.. i barely talked to him.. bc theres nothing to say..

what should i do?

if i tell him.. he'll prolly just say "oh" .. i dont wanna be really sad by that reaction

it seems to me his interests aren't matching yours or he'd still be talking and hanging out with you .. try to see what else is out there rather than being caught up with someone who doesn't have the same feelings for you .. over time things will get better .. of course you will miss the good times .. but you can make new memories with someone who shares the same interests and such with you ..
