I don't know where to put this.. I don't know what to think

my "bf" wants to break up with me. he told me he sort of wanted to b/c our relationship is seriously sad. but he's unsure.. I'm always telling him that I can't let go. I really love him. he's my first bf and we've been going out for a year already. I really, really can't let go. I just wish I was dead. what should I do? I just feel so torn and screwed up. I've been thinking a lot about cutting myself. argh.. help..

whoa .. you have to calm down for a second .. don't start thinking about suicide because of this .. you're just too caught up in the relationship and because it was for a year you've become attached and dependent .. i understand that it's hard to let go especially if it's your first love .. but you also have to realize a few other things that come along witht he territory of being in love. sometimes love isn't enough to keep a couple together. your boyfriend feels that he's ready to move on for now and you should care enough to respect his wishes. it will hurt .. i won't lie to you about that .. and it's very hard to deal with especially in the beginning -- but you'll live. you have to be strong for yourself and keep it together .. at one point in your life you were single and didn't have him and you were doing just fine and you can do that again. don't let another's life determine if you can live .. do what you have to do and do what's best for YOU. have a little faith and hope to think that if you two were really meant to be that it'll work out maybe sometime in the future and the timing just isn't right now. you're still young and there's plenty to see out there before you know he's the perfect one for you. and also, as much as you love him .. why force him to stay if he doesn't want to stay by your side? you're supposed to fight the same fight .. as the quote says .. *if you love something, let it go .. if it comes back to you, it's yours .. & if it doesn't, it never was..* .. love involves sacrifice at times .. and this may be it for you .. show him you care enough to let him go and try to seek happiness elsewhere .. maybe he'll even see that you really treated him good and that he misses you and come back .. you never know .. but just don't let your emotions take over your mind .. i'm sorry that you're upset .. but trust me when i say things will turn out for the best .. feel better ..
