Anyways this is a funny story. Im my first period class today something crazy happened. I know this boy who happens to be very sweet and caring, so I call him Pookie..all the time! My teacher would always look at us weird and never say anything until today, when we were taking an oral exam type thingie I yelled, "Pookie, Mrs. Francisco says your next!" And then my teacher said, "Taylorr, what in the world did you just call him?" I replied, "..pookie?..." Then she started laughing hysterically. Until finally I asked her what was so funny, and at this time Pookie was standing right next to me. So she responded, "Taylorr in my language[she is like philipino and speaks Tagalup(sp?)] Pookie means Vagina!!" ![]() And then we all started cracking up and my friend was like ,"oh wow that is just f****** GREAT.."Lol. But my point is, isn't it funny how you may say some things and not know it means something else in another language? |

My brother did something like that.
Ok we're "white" not really full caucasian but we look it so yeah. Anyways, he's got an "Anglo" accent when it comes to pretty much every other language and he walked into my room when two of my friends (both latino) and tried to show of by saying, "Me duele la casaba" instead of "Me duele la cabasa." He's also said, "Pinars(legs)". So yeah it's so funny hearing people mess up in a foreign language. ![]() |
