looking 'spacey' in ie, fine in ff, help?

I recently changed my Xanga layout. It looks the way it should in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer, all the modules and blog entries are reaaaally spaced out.

An example of how it looks in IE:


And how it's supposed to look in FF:

Thanks for the advice; I might try that sometime. But in the meantime, I've decided to just stick with a regular layout. This can be closed.
