What do you think of Internet relationships? Options

Well there is this girl that I like and she has told me she even likes me. When we started to hang around each other alot which was basically everyday at school she told me that she kinda met this guy over the internet. At first I was like *ok*. Then she told me though that she *loves* the guy and stuff. The thing is though is that it's been 4 months since they last talked. He won't respond to any of her phone calls or e-mails. So you know we started to hang out more and we talk on the phone for around 6 hours a day and stuff. Then she tells me sometimes she feels like she's cheating or it feels wrong for her to like me because somehow she still likes the other guy even without talking to him for so long. Like i don't know what to do even her friends think this is really stupid and stuff. It's like he has clouded her mind or something and there is absolutely no way to get through. I care so much for her and I somewhat told her how i feel, but the truth is everytime i try to tell her how I feel 100% i just end up telling half of it. Yesterday she told me she needs time and stuff cause she doesn;t know what she wants and that she is confused. I told her i understand cause i dp but i know she cares for me cause she told me. I just don't know what to do? I really hate this guy now for doing this. I'm trying my hardest to help her and maybe start a relationship later down the road. You guys/girls have any ideas of what i can do. Much appreciated
