Do you have songs that you really like, but then the video comes out and it was a lot different than you expected.
There is one video in particular that I liked the song but I wasn't feeling the video. It was Usher ft. Alcia Keys - My Boo. Before the video shoot I specifically told Usher not to put his hand on my woman.  Other songs I liked but I thought the videos were terrible were Chris Brown - Say Goodbye Omarion - IceBox Usher - Let It Burn Justin Timberlake ft. TI - My Love Sammi - You Should Be My Girl

I hate music videos that comprise of ONLY the artist dancing around while singing. I don't know... I just feel music videos should actually be even a tiny bit meaningful to be good. I was disappointed in the 'The Sweet Escape' music video. I was also disappointed in 'Here in Your Arms'... especially since I really like that song. Blegh. There are some music videos that can make you fall in love with the song even more and really bring out the lyric's meanings, but most videos detract from the overall effect of the song- since I usually conjure up some kind of mental image and get terribly disappointed at what the band/artist chooses to portray. |
