i used to hate abercrombie but i ended up working there and now all my paycheck goes to their clothes. in summation i hate abercrombie again for making me broke but i do love their clothes.
anyway, there's not helping where your clothes are manufactured or whatever. your computer was probably assembled in some third world country by childen 7-14. your computer desk, your curtains, your lamp, carpet. that's just how it is now. you can bitch and moan about africans starving and little kids suffering, but you still have the fruit of their labors and you are enjoying the luxuries that comes with it. it used to be that way in this country 100 years ago but thanks for the progressives they were able to throw that out. other countries unfortunately haven't had the chance to change their system, but hopefully it will happen in the future. this country prospers through their sufferings. that's part of the reason we're the #1 powerhouse of the world. i'm just stating facts. we can't do anything about the fact that the corporations that make our clothes, manufacture our goods, etc. utilize child/cheap labor. we can't help that that is the least of our government's concern. all you can really do is vote on it or become politically active? i don't know. all we can really do is remain apathetic.. which is very sad. |
