and if the Wii is putting all their focus into the wiimote, shouldnt the difference be significant?

Your pics don't load on my machine. But I've seen them run side by side, the PS2's environments have less in them because the PS2 doesn't have as much power as the gamecube.

No shit, why would anyone want to pay $400-$600 for a box that has less power and can't play movies? If it cost more, don't you think it would have more power and could be able to do what the other consoles could do?

You said the Wii doesn't have a bright future. What else is that supposed to mean? If it sells well, it won't have a bright future? It is in a developer's best interest to develop for the console with the largest installed user base, because there's a greater potential to sell more games. That's why the PS2 had so many good games, whereas the gamecube wasn't getting as many.

Don't underestimate marketing decisions on the success of the console (which is what I believe you are doing given your initial claim that the Wii doesn't have a bright future
