What do you (long haired) girls do in order to keep nice long hair?

for a while since i was a child, my mom made some rice hair shampoo, well it wasnt exactly "made" but it was basically rice water, and thats what she would use to wash my hair.....my hair grew so long, it was all the way to my butt....if i grew it out longer i think it would be all the way to my knees!!! but yeah..best way to keep nice long hair is to comb it daily....and good hygiene (spell check) and keep away from heat..
