Alright im pretty terrible @ html so i need some help
before i begin my problem deals with an html image with slicing and myspace im having a problem posting up an html i made of an image that contains slices. This image was made so once clicked, it would go to a webpage. However, the only way it worked was if it was saved as an .html. Now everytime I try to open it with dreamweaver it would show the html code but when i paste it onto my myspace it will fill in some values of the code to ... Heres my code: CODE <html>
<head> <title>Blur jmzy</title> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <!-- ImageReady Preload Script (Blur jmzy.psd) --> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function newImage(arg) { if (document.images) { rslt = new Image(); rslt.src = arg; return rslt; } } function changeImages() { if (document.images ) { for (var i=0; i<changeImages.arguments.length; i+=2) { document[changeImages.arguments[i]].src = changeImages.arguments[i+1]; } } } // --> </script> <!-- End Preload Script --> </head> <body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"> <!-- ImageReady Slices (Blur jmzy.psd) --> <a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=10313789" onmouseover="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01-over.gif'); return true;" onmouseout="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01.gif'); return true;" onmousedown="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01-over.gif'); return true;" onmouseup="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01-over.gif'); return true;"> <img name="Blur_jmzy_01" src="images/Blur-jmzy_01.gif" width="400" height="200" border="0" alt=""></a> <!-- End ImageReady Slices --> </body> </html> |

I would suggest this, you will use the script linked above, but you should slice the entire layout. Then for the rollover links (if there are any) you will make them links etc, in imageready by slicing, but you will not add the rollovers through imageready. So basically you should just have slices and some with links.
Secondly, you should add in all the urls, etc. Then lastly, read the script, and then implement the script to the parts of the slices that need to be rolled over. Get it? Dang I think I even confused myself. |
