Alright im pretty terrible @ html so i need some help laugh.gif

before i begin my problem deals with an html image with slicing and myspace

im having a problem posting up an html i made of an image that contains slices. This image was made so once clicked, it would go to a webpage. However, the only way it worked was if it was saved as an .html. Now everytime I try to open it with dreamweaver it would show the html code but when i paste it onto my myspace it will fill in some values of the code to ...

Heres my code:

CODE
<html>
<head>
<title>Blur jmzy</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<!-- ImageReady Preload Script (Blur jmzy.psd) -->
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--

function newImage(arg) {
    if (document.images) {
        rslt = new Image();
        rslt.src = arg;
        return rslt;
    }
}

function changeImages() {
    if (document.images ) {
        for (var i=0; i<changeImages.arguments.length; i+=2) {
            document[changeImages.arguments[i]].src = changeImages.arguments[i+1];
        }
    }
}

// -->
</script>
<!-- End Preload Script -->
</head>
<body bgcolor="#FFFFFF" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
<!-- ImageReady Slices (Blur jmzy.psd) -->
<a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=10313789"
    onmouseover="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01-over.gif'); return true;"
    onmouseout="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01.gif'); return true;"
    onmousedown="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01-over.gif'); return true;"
    onmouseup="changeImages('Blur_jmzy_01', 'images/Blur-jmzy_01-over.gif'); return true;">
    <img name="Blur_jmzy_01" src="images/Blur-jmzy_01.gif" width="400" height="200" border="0" alt=""></a>
<!-- End ImageReady Slices -->
</body>
</html>

Im soooo confused.

Alright heres my plan.

Im using a div layout and theres pictures on the layout that are linked to urls. I wanted those pictures to have rollover effects.I have made rollover effects but it didn't work since the html wasn't correct and what not. So right now I have the image on photoshop without rollover but im not sure if I should slice the text ( the picture thats linked to a url ) or the whole layout since i dont really have a basic knowledge about slicing.
