For the longest time I've wanted to become a vegetarian, and for a while I was, but it didn't work out because I wasn't getting the protein I needed because I can't cook and my parents did not support me at all. They said they knew I wouldn't last and that it was "too hard" to make vegetarian meals. It's healthier! I don't understand why the whole family can't go for it. You can use TVP to make spaghetti sauce, and it tastes EXACTLY the same as regular beef. Does anybody have any suggestions about how I can be vegetarian, even with a family that won't make vege meals?

I actually decided to go vegetarian three weeks ago... or kind of. I still have dairy products.

I told my dad while my mom was overseas and he was fine with it; then my mom came back and she went nuts. She cooks meat like a psycho now... I can't stand the smell of meat anymore, even if it's ridiculously processed.

I just don't eat any of the meat she gives me and I don't eat anything that's touched broth. I like tofu though, LOL. Daily pills are good.

Mishyy, I'm also on a no fast-food/soda or junk food diet! WOOHOO
I feel pretty lucky because I grew up not having fast food or soda, so I don't miss it much.

My dad freaking gorged me on ice cream as a kid and then repeatedly told me I was fat though...
