For the longest time I've wanted to become a vegetarian, and for a while I was, but it didn't work out because I wasn't getting the protein I needed because I can't cook and my parents did not support me at all. They said they knew I wouldn't last and that it was "too hard" to make vegetarian meals. It's healthier! I don't understand why the whole family can't go for it. You can use TVP to make spaghetti sauce, and it tastes EXACTLY the same as regular beef. Does anybody have any suggestions about how I can be vegetarian, even with a family that won't make vege meals?

I'm a vegetarian, and my parents make me take protein.

My Dad was really upset at first, and I couldn't understand why.
I ended up eating meat for a while, just to please him, but gave it up, again.

I just can't sit and eat meat, thinking it used to be an animal.

As far as finding foods goes, there are TONS of microwaveable meals, in the frozen food sections at most grocery stores.
The selection's getting larger &larger.
