Steal or No Steal Options

Have you ever copied off of someone else's style? Or seen someone else who has. Not breaking copyright but getting really close? kind of like how many people use the "blobs" myspace uses?

Please share.. and if you do if possible include a pic of the original and the "copy"...

i dont really think it would be considered "stealing" if u were to look at someone else's art as inspiration. coz i mean. everyone does polka dots. everyone does hearts and so on so forth. but its when they take ur layout and like. design around it and/or make small alterations to it then call it their own thats considered stealing isnt it?

i personally have no grudge on people who "steal" as long as they credit me or leave me a msg saying that "oh i love your work blah blah blah" then im ok.

Yeah. I have to agree with all that she just said. I've learned to get over people who redistribute my layouts, but keep my credit on there. But when my credits are taken off, that's when I seriously get pissed. But yeah, looking at a great piece of art as inspiration and creating a brand new piece of work out of that inspiration shouldn't been considered as jocking.
