Imagine that you were a mix. You thought that you came from your real parents then you found out that they weren't your biological parents. They happen to be your foster parents with the same culture as you. Later, you found out that your biological parents was a slut and a pimp ... or your biological mom was raped.
You always thought your parents were your actual "parents". How would you feel about yourself? |

I'd not even talk to my "biological" parents because they gave me away in the first place.

There are plenty of good reasons to give up a child. Don't be too ignorant. agreed. Actually, I took her post offending. :3 My mom gave ME away because she didn't have enough moeny to take care of me. And no, I don't blame her. I'm not mad at her. I really DON'T care I'm adopted. I mean I do care for my biological mom, I worry about her some times. But when I say I don't care I'm adopted is well, I know my mom gave me away for a GOOD reason. If I wasn't adopted, I could be right now starving on the streets of Guatemala. Some people I know think it's a "big deal" when they find out some one is adopted. Half the time, I forget I'm adopted. I feel like I'm actually with my real family. Although, I'm pretty sure my mom would be happy that I feel like that. I mean I haven't totally forgotten her, I never will. I've never met her, I'd like to one day. I'd like to see how shes doing. Either way, I'm gonna love my adoptive parents because they took me in when I was in need. They gave me a home and a shelter to live in. Apparently, I've noticed... I'm really spoiled. And my mom even pointed out, when my dad first held me, he wanted me to treat me like a GAP. (Guatemalan American Princess) I'm sorry if any mod considers this as spam, I just wanted to put my two cents in since I was offended by the other girls post. :3 dude i just realized, i'm crying... |

That's not saying that I don't care about them, it's just that a lot of the time my parents are overwhelmingly mean to me, my siblings, and they trashtalk people I care about to the ground. I wouldn't be too bothered by the whole "my dad was a pimp" or "my mom was a ho/raped" business because since they were basically never in my life, they didn't really make up part of my identity. |
