What do people say about your S.O.?, and is it true? Options

One of my really good friends met him and told me he was really mean. Whenever I see the two together though, he's usually making fun of her or something and they're always both laughing though.

That's the same friend who was on the phone with him until 3AM telling him about her problems with her boyfriend. Then she tells me how hot and cute and funny and mean and nice he is. It's a fun combination.

I think it's true. Of course I agree with all the physical stuff, and he's definitely entertaining. I suppose the mean part comes from him making fun of people but making them laugh at the same time, but he's also insanely nice because he's the kind of person that people call for advice/venting 24/7... including his psycho ex that nobody likes.

Then everyone says he's musically talented! Which is definitely true.

My parents think he's a bad influence on me, although they're very good at suppressing past actions of mine that parallel current ones.

My friends, as far as I know (and the few that have met/talked to him) seem to like him.

My last boyfriend, however, a few of my close friends didn't like.. and didn't think it was a good idea to date him. I wish I would've listened to their advice sooner.
