Issues with Internet Explorer Options

Currently I'm working on customizing a Myspace page for a comic book store: in Safari and Firefox the page loads perfectly fine, but when it's viewed in Internet Explorer all hell seems to break loose, and it seems to be focused around the background image.

I'm at a loss, any thoughts? They would be appreciated!

I tried your suggestion and changed all my percents to pixels, but as I check it in Explorer, I'm still having the same issue. I'm working on your second suggestion.
