How long is too long to wait for someone?

Well, if you wait you could be putting your life on pause for someone who doesn't feel the same way as you do. You could be setting yourself up for failure.

On the other hand, if there is a legitimate reason for the wait. It might be worth it. (example: maybe the person your waiting for doesn't have time for the relationship at the moment because of school, work, etc... and they told you that as soon as they were done they would end your "wait")

I don't know... in the end it's up to you, but you should really understand what you should be getting yourself into. It's an opportunity cost, and just like any investment (a relationship is an investment... you're investing time) if you think the risks are to great then you should get out.
