McDonald's Beats Starbucks In Coffee Taste Test
(CBS 5) They may be unlikely competitors, but McDonald's is giving Starbucks a run for its money when it comes to coffee.

According to a report published in Consumer Reports magazine, McDonald's serves up a better cup of joe than the mega coffee chain.

Testers compared a medium cup of black coffee from McDonald's, Burger King, Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks. They found the best cup of java under the golden arches.

The magazine said McDonald's coffee was "decent and moderately strong" while the coffee from Starbucks "was strong, but burnt."

i must say i'm surprised. starbucks taste heavenly (well at least their high calorie concoctions do) and are reknowned for their java. even dunkin' donuts has some fame for its coffee. mickey d's? for a long time their coffee has tasted like boiled soil water mixed with urine. even their new brand.

how did they win out?

has anyone tried it recently? does it really live up to the taste test?

McDonalds really? I'll have to see for myself, I do drink Starbucks coffee (plain coffee I'm refering to) and Dunkin Doughnuts, and betwen those two I prefer Dunkin Doughnuts because it's not as strong least to me. I'll try McDonald's coffee and let you know, although I don't eat there anymore i'll stop by for a cup.
