I used to think white lies were okay because they never hurt another person and if it's for a good reason it's alright. But when I became a Christian I changed the way I thought. Lying is NEVER ok and always hurts another person, lying is also wrong in God's eyes and something I think needs to change in myself (I never lie very much but I still do sometimes) the reason lying is a sin is because it's disrespect to another person and in the Bible it says to respect your neighbor and love your enemy.

So, if you were harboring some innocent people in your house so they wouldn't be killed or hurt, and some one comes up to your door and asks if you have people in your house...would you tell them there are people in your house? Do you think God would rather you lie and save a life, or tell the truth and cause some one to be killed? |
