I installed the soundmax audio driver that came with my motherboard. The thing is when I want to play a movie the sound will not load, but when I load a song the music plays. I went to the control panel, clicked on sound and audio devices. When I want to check "place volume in icon task bar", a window pop-ed up and it says that the volume controlled program has not been installed. What do I do to make my sound work for both video and audio? Help, thanks!

Which motherboard is it?

I use an Asus 7V8X-X, with soundmax audio drivers for the integrated soundcard too, and I haven't been able to make it malfunction like that. =|
