Okay, so scientists have been wrong about the past two "y2k"'s. Is anyone else tired of them making up theories only to be let down when it doesn't happen? I know I am

yeah... scientists make mistakes...but who doesn't? i think it's a little unfair to say that they are always wrong. thanks to scientists/researchers we have cleaner water, vaccines for devastating diseases, computers, televisions, pretty much a lot of things we take for granted. thomas edison had to "invent" the light bulb several thousand times before it finally worked. was he wrong? scientists didn't say y2k was a definite. they said it was a probability and took precautions. although it did annoy me along with the whole "sars epidemic" because it just keeps the public on its toes and worrying all the time. |
