^ Tuning pedal? There's no tuning pedal...At least, no pedal that's intended to be used for tuning purposes.
There are usually three pedals at the bottom of a piano, only two of which are important. The damper pedal (which is used the most often) prevents strings from vibrating, and creates a blurred sound. The soft pedal shifts the entire keyboard a little to the right, so the hammers don't hit all three of the strings, just two, and produces a softer sound (it's reeeally subtle, but it's noticeable if you've been playing years of piano). Neither of them really help with tuning at all. |
