Well, probably all asian girls know how paranoid and protective your parents can be. I have a really big problem. Hm, I'm 15. My parents still treat me like I'm a little kid. They never allow me to go out, unless under some 'trusted adult supervision', they misunderstand my friends and think they influence me in bad ways..

Also, they really expect me to get extremely good grades at school. I really don't know what to do. Especially now, since I have a boyfriend. I have to like sneak out in order to see him, since he lives in a town very far from me, about 30 minutes drive.

Also, I can't take the pressure that they put on me. They expect me to excel in everything, school/sports/music. I'm a straight A+ sophmore. 4.3 GPA. I just really want some freedom in my life... But there is no way I can tell them. Everytime I try to, my mom would get all up in my face. She doesn't let me do anything. I really don't think there is anyone more strict than her. And I really can't express my feelings to my parents, THEY JUST DON'T GET IT.

They expect me to be some perfect innocent angel sitting at home doing homework and studying, then going on to become a FRICKEN DOCTOR. EVERY PARENT THINKS THAT. WHY IS THAT. I'm sure plenty of asians out there have this same problem. Sometimes, I really admire the American parents and how much freedom they allow their children..

I can take this to a point, until I will just explode and burst.. What is there to do?!! mad.gif ermm.gif

You've got to learn to say no.
Even if your parents say no, say it right back to them.
I'm almost in the same situation as you, but I have a lot more freedom because I'm "rebellious."
And if they expect too much from you, make it so that they can't.
I don't know, or just talk to them even if they don't want to listen.
