The 9th Gate, by Roman Polanski.
This film seems to be considered a minor film from a great director, however it's overall a decent thriller. It's based upon the novel "El club Dumas", by the spanish writer Arturo Pérez-Reverte, although the movie goes back and forth from the original text to Polanski's vision of the story. That's all cool, since the book was 200 pages too long IMO >_>. Watch this movie
