Has anyone seen Babel yet?
It was amazing, i'll tell you that. And since this is oscar season, this is definantly oscar material. I'm predicting that they'll get nominations for:
Best Picture
Best Actor:
Brad Pitt
Best Supporting Actress: Adriana Gazzara/Rinko Kikuchi

Oh man, is this an esemble or what! Down to the extras, the acting was good. Even the kids were pretty good. If anyone has seen it, please share your thoughts. My favorite story was of course, the Mexican border one with Adriana. Man can she act! Her performance was raw, powerful, real! And Rinko, who showed all her emotions as a deaf-mute.

Honestly, the buzz have been going around Brad Pitt.
I believe they arn't giving enough credit to: Adriana. But Rinko is a said shoe-in for Sup. Actress.

i know this topic is old, but i just watched it yesterday for the first time. my friend is like in love with this movie and he made me watch it with him. i was surprised how good it was, i thought it would be boring. i thought the story of the deaf girl was sad, but i didn't think it was necessarily relevant to the rest of the movie. i think they could have cut that out and it wouldn't have mattered much. i have to say, this is the first time i have ever enjoyed brad pitt in anything. i also though adriana barraza did an amazing job. her story touched me the most. i think she deserved an oscar way more than jenifer hudson. overall, it was a really good movie.
