palm pilots, are they worth it? |

i currently want to buy a palm zire 71, but i dont no if it is worth my money. does anyone have one and tell me if its worth it or not?

i'm in college, so you'd think i'd use mine a lot, but to be honest, i wouldn't recommend a palm pilot unless you really REALLY need one. i got a Sony Clie for my birthday two years ago, and i hardly use it.
well, the main reason is that you have to keep it constantly charged, which is hard, becuase the battery drains even when it's off--and if the battery goes completely dead, you lose everything. EVERYTHING. it goes back to factory presets. i mean, as long as you keep your palm pilot synced with a computer and can recover everything, it's ok. but i found it to be more hassle than it's really worth. like jeppu said, it seems like a great idea, but to be honest, it's not really worth it unless you can find one with stuff you're actually going to use. |
