Okay, so I have dialup. And it's slow and VERY annoying. Whenever I've found out about getting faster internet I'm always told that I will need to get a ton of stuff for it to work because I live kinda out of town (although I can see the high school from my window) and my house is old.
Is there way for me to get Broadband or something faster than old dialup by myself? I've tired to search through some things on the internet before but I don't really know where to start  Could someone point me in a reliable direction? |

Yeah, dialup sucks. It's just that my mom wants to keep AOL, which shouldn't really be a problem I guess. But we also don't want to have to deal with someone coming in an installing stuff... All my friends get it through their tv provider
 and we can't do that.

Just get Verizon or something. A lot of telephone service providers have broadband access now, so if you have Verizon, you can just get DSL with it. But I heard somewhere that AOL is coming out with broadband now.. Don't know if it's available yet though. And if your mom wants to keep AOL, you can use AOL along with a broadband connection. And check out this website. |
