My friend has liked this guy for 4 years now. It's been sooo long.
Just this year, I got to know him, and I'm starting to like him a lot. But when she found out, she got mad at me. I understand that she's mad, but she can't have dibs on him for 4 years, can she? He doesn't even like her back. I haven't figured out if he likes me, yet. I would never date him for respect for my friend. But she's mad that I even LIKE him. I don't flirt a ton with him or anything. I talk to him like I would any other guy friend. Am I in the wrong? Am I supposed to ignore him & stop talking to him? Because I know I can't ignore my feelings for him-- I've tried. |

Well your friend doesn't really have a right to be mad at you. She's liked him for four years and I'm guessing she's told him since you know he doesn't like her and so she can't really change that. You can go for it and realize that if she hates you for asking a guy out who doesn't like her, she isn't worth the friendship.
