...okay, that statement sounded rather conceited.
Say you heard through the grapevine that people were talking about you. Following your every word, every move, and that you (yes, you!) are a subject within the conversations of the halls (or PMs, or e-mails, or IMs, yaknow). How would you feel? Flattered? Embarrassed? Angry? |

Depending on what they are saying about me. One time at my 7th grade campingish trip (we didn't sleep in tents or make our own food) we were hiking(me and a group of like 9 other kids and our teacher), and I fell as we were going up a steep hill of rocks. The guide person and one of the assistants from my school helped me up and carried me to their car and took me to the nurse's station because I banged up my leg pretty bad. The rest of the kids there went back to our lodges and rumors went flying round saying "OMG Nicole fell and a rock went straight though her stomach!" "There's a rock in Nicole's stomach" those were the worst and then there was this one: "Nicole fell and broke her leg" I came out of the nurse's station, and some guys from my grade, that I normally don't talk to, came up to me and were like "are you okay? Anna told me a rock went though your stomach." and they even helped me back to my lodge which was nice. I was so embarassed because I just had a few scrapes and had to ice the bruses.
Other times I'm flattered when its something good, and other times I'm paranoid and want them to stop, so it really depends on the situation for me at least. |
